Cross-Country Skiing in Frymburk (0.1 km)
In winter, when snow conditions allow, you can put on your cross-country skis right next to the apartments and head out onto groomed trails. The Frymburk tracks wind through picturesque countryside and offer both peaceful routes and more sporty loops.
Wellness Hotel Frymburk – Aquapark and Sauna World (0.5 km)
A modern wellness complex in the very heart of Frymburk offers a swimming pool, water attractions, whirlpools, and an extensive sauna world. It is an ideal place to relax after a full day of excursions or to treat children to plenty of fun in any weather.
Lakeside Cycling & Inline Skating Trail (0.5 km)
An asphalt trail suitable for cyclists, inline skaters, and families with strollers starts right in Frymburk. It follows the Lipno Lake to Lipno nad Vltavou, across the dam and further on to Přední Výtoň and Frýdava. You can return comfortably by ferry.
Flow Trails Frymburk (0.3 km)
Just a short walk from the apartments, forest trails begin for cyclists of all ages. Thanks to smooth curves, rollers, and gentle gradients, both beginners and experienced riders will enjoy the ride.
Ice Skating on Frozen Lipno Lake (0.7 km)
When the ice reaches a safe thickness, the Ice Trail opens – the longest groomed ice-skating track in the world. Dozens of kilometers of routes and circuits await you, offering a unique winter atmosphere directly on the frozen surface of Lipno Lake.
Walking Loop Around Frymburk Bay (0.7 km)
A short and easy route suitable for families and recreational runners takes you along the water, across peaceful meadows, and through forest paths. Along the way, you can enjoy views of Lipno Lake and the panorama of Frymburk, which is especially charming at sunset.
Frymburk – Frýdava Ferry (1.5 km)
This traditional ferry has been part of local history for more than a hundred years and still attracts visitors with its unique atmosphere. The short crossing takes you to the opposite shore of Lipno Lake, from where you can continue on foot or by bike into lesser-known parts of the Šumava region.
Marta Hill with the Way of the Cross and Chapel (2 km)
The Way of the Cross was built in 1894 and features 14 stations ending at a chapel on the summit of Marta Hill. The path is approximately 900 metres long and leads through forest with beautiful views of Frymburk and the entire Lipno area. Cyclists can also enjoy a singletrack trail that continues from the summit into the forest.
Frymburk Beach (0.7 km)
A grassy beach with a sandy entrance to the water offers pleasant summer facilities. You will find a sports equipment rental, a beach volleyball court, a children’s playground, and a bistro. In summer, evening concerts and discos are held here. A new pump track right next to the beach provides plenty of fun for cyclists.
Skiing in Frymburk (2 km)
The family-friendly ski area offers everything beginners and children need – the Médi Kubíka children’s park, a ski school, and fun attractions. It is an ideal place for first winter experiences in the snow.

Lipno Treetop Walkway (9.9 km by car; 6.8 km by bike)
This unique wooden walkway leads through the treetops of the Šumava forest to a 40-metre-high observation tower. From the top, you can enjoy far-reaching views of the Lipno Reservoir, the Šumava mountain ridges, and even the Austrian Alps. The trail is accessible for strollers and also features adrenaline slides.
Ski Slopes and Lipno Bike Park (8.5 km)
The Lipno ski resort is one of the most family-friendly destinations in the Czech Republic, offering snow-covered slopes, children’s parks, and a ski school. In summer, it transforms into a bike park with trails for both beginners and experienced riders – all with beautiful lake views.
Dobrá Voda Observation Tower (18 km)
A smaller observation tower hidden above Horní Planá offers surprisingly picturesque views. With fewer visitors, you can enjoy peaceful panoramas of Lipno Lake and the surrounding Šumava mountain ridges in quiet surroundings.
Marina Lipno (8 km)
A lively hub of water sports, where sailboats, excursion boats, and paddleboards set off. The marina is an ideal place for an afternoon stroll along the pier, a romantic moment by the water, or actively trying out one of the many water sports on offer.
Forest Kingdom Lipno (9.9 km by car; 6.8 km by bike)
A large forest adventure area for children and adults offers climbing structures, rope obstacles, wooden castles, and many other attractions. Set entirely in nature, the area combines playful fun with discovering the magic of the forest.

Vítkův Hrádek Castle (24 km)
The ruins of the highest-altitude castle in the Czech Republic stand on a hilltop above Svatý Tomáš. After a short climb, you are rewarded with an impressive panoramic view of Lipno Lake, the Šumava Mountains, and Austria. The place has a romantic atmosphere and is ideal for a sunset trip.
St. Wolfgang’s Waterfall (20.9 km)
A hidden natural gem in the Šumava forests, accessible via a short trail. Water cascades down stone steps, creating a fairytale-like setting. If you are looking for a quiet spot away from tourist crowds, this is a perfect choice.
Vyšší Brod Monastery (18.6 km)
The Cistercian monastery founded in 1259 is one of the spiritual gems of South Bohemia. Visitors can admire the monastery church, cloisters, an ancient library, and art collections. The atmosphere of the place is still filled with peace and spiritual depth.
Devil’s Wall near Loučovice (19.6 km)
Massive granite blocks create a dramatic landscape surrounded by legends of the devil himself. The nature reserve offers marked trails and stunning views of the Vltava River valley. It is one of those places where the power of nature truly takes your breath away.
Rožmberk nad Vltavou Castle (19.4 km)
One of the oldest noble castles in South Bohemia stands picturesquely above a meander of the Vltava River. During your visit, you will explore the Knights’ Hall and the castle tower – and you might even catch a glimpse of the legendary White Lady.
Moldaublick Observation Tower (Austria, 48 km)
This lookout tower stands on the Austrian side of the Šumava Mountains and offers views of the entire Lipno area from an unusual perspective. It is an ideal trip if you want to combine your stay at Lipno with a short excursion across the border.
Historic Square in Český Krumlov (20.0 km)
The UNESCO-listed town centre enchants visitors with Renaissance and Baroque houses, romantic alleys, and a lively atmosphere. In the evening, the square is beautifully illuminated and feels almost fairytale-like.
Český Krumlov Castle (20.1 km)

Kleť Mountain and Josefova věž Observation Tower (23.4 km)
The highest mountain of the Blanský les range is a popular destination for both hikers and cyclists. The 19th-century stone observation tower on the summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and, on clear days, even the snow-covered Alps.
Plešné Lake (24.3 km)
A glacial lake enclosed by steep rock walls with a truly unique atmosphere. Access is possible only on foot, making it a destination for true mountain lovers who appreciate peace and the majestic beauty of unspoiled nature.
Plechý – the Highest Mountain of the Czech Šumava (24.5 km)
At 1,378 m above sea level, Plechý is the dominant peak of the Czech part of the Šumava Mountains. The ascent is more demanding, but the reward is a stunning view of Plešné Lake, neighbouring Austrian peaks, and the distant ridges of the Šumava range.
Třístoličník (Dreisessel, 31.4 km)
A distinctive Šumava peak located at the tripoint of the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany, known for its stone formations resembling thrones. It is a place where you can see three countries at once and enjoy the unique feeling of borders without barriers.
